Gosexpertiza approved the renovation project of Cosmonauts Square in Magadan

Landscaping of Cosmonauts Square will start in Magadan in 2026. The project of the first stage of work has already received a positive conclusion from the state expert examination, the city administration reports.

The renovation project provides for the construction of pedestrian paths and stairwells, new tiles will be laid on the territory and a curb stone will be installed. There will be benches and bike parking.

"Special attention will be paid to the fountain bowl, the real heart of this square, which is also awaiting renovation. This territory was chosen by Magadan residents themselves during online voting within the framework of the federal program," the message says.

According to MagadanMedia news agency, we are talking about the program "Creating a comfortable urban environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". The design of the second stage of the Cosmonauts Square renovation has already been completed, and now the documentation will have to undergo a state expert examination.
