A Russian hockey player got into a fight twice during an NHL match and knocked out a Canadian.

Dmitry Voronkov, a Russian hockey player and forward for the Columbus Blue Jackets, twice got into a fight during the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match against the New Jersey Devils and knocked out Canadian defenseman Brenden Dillon. The meeting took place on December 2 and ended with a score of 5:3 in favor of the Russian team.

In the second period of the match, Voronkov had a fight with Dillon, who fell after several blows from the Russian and could not get to his feet, after which he left the court accompanied by a doctor. In addition, both athletes were punished with a five-minute fine.

Voronkov later got into a fight again. The second scuffle occurred with striker Stefan Noesen. After the incident, the hockey players went to the penalty box for five minutes.

HC Pittsburgh Penguins defeated Columbus Club on November 29. The game ended with a score of 4:3. In the Pittsburgh team, forward Sidney Crosby scored a double, Brian Rust and defenseman Chris Letang scored another goal.
