Lurie's lawyer in the Dolina case talked about plans to return the apartment
The lawyer of Polina Lurie, the buyer of the apartment of singer Larisa Dolina, Svetlana Sviridenko, announced her intention to continue fighting for the return of property.
"I am already writing a complaint to the Supreme Court," she said in an interview with aif.ru on Monday, December 1st.
Larisa Dolina became a victim of fraudsters in the summer of 2024 — scammers involved her in a deal to sell an apartment in Khamovniki. The singer claims that she agreed to the sale, having been misled by third parties.
Polina Lurie eventually bought the house for 112 million rubles. Dolina accused the buyer of indiscretion, and Lurie insisted that the deal was completely legal, and filed a counterclaim, demanding that the artist vacate the apartment.
In the spring, the court declared the deal invalid. As a result, Lurie lost both the apartment and the money paid for it. In October 2025, she tried to challenge the decision in cassation, but the court again sided with Dolina.
Not far from the house where the disputed apartment is located, residents even set up a "valley wall": they bring slippers, keys and small toys there — according to local beliefs, such a "sacrifice" helps to successfully conduct a real estate transaction.
On November 30, Sergei Gavrilov, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Property, Land and Property Relations, and a member of the National Financial Council of the Bank of Russia, called on the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation to adopt a new plenum resolution on the case of singer Larisa Dolina.
According to Gavrilov, such a resolution can make changes to further practices related to real estate disputes and show that a bona fide buyer will not bear the risks due to someone else's deception. 360.ru . According to Gavrilov, the refusal to satisfy the claim of the buyer Polina Lurie, who was left without money and housing, indicates a systemic problem, IA Regnum reports. Gavrilov pointed out a dangerous trend: no preliminary review of current practices saves the buyer from losing property. Therefore, all fraud risks are actually transferred from the seller to the buyer, the website clarifies. kp.ru
On November 29, Sergei Boyarsky, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, IT and Communications, noted that deputies would try to find an antidote to the "Valley effect", which provoked massive lawsuits in the country to cancel real estate sales. He clarified that lawmakers are now obliged to respond and try to find solutions to this problem that will help protect both bona fide buyers of real estate and cars, according to RIAMO.
On November 27, the Second Court of Cassation rejected the complaint of Larisa Dolina, the buyer of the apartment, and confirmed the artist's ownership of the property.
Against this background, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services, Vladimir Koshelev, called for the introduction of a rule of counter-fulfillment of obligations. So, if the court invalidates the transaction at the seller's request, and the seller cannot return the money, the buyer will have the right not to return the property, writes NSN.
On November 24, State Duma Deputy Sergei Kolunov spoke to RT about the development of measures to combat fraud in real estate transactions. The first initiative is the mandatory notarization of all transactions related to the acquisition of real estate. The second is mandatory insurance of real estate transactions in authorized organizations, if such real estate is the only one for the seller or potentially for the buyer.
