The Chinese government will conduct a fire safety inspection in high-rise buildings after a large-scale fire in Hong Kong, which claimed the lives of at least 128 people. This was reported on November 29 by the Bloomberg news agency, citing a statement from the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China.

According to the agency, an inspection will be carried out for the use of flammable or combustible materials in these buildings.
A fire in an apartment complex in Hong Kong was reported on November 26. According to the Associated Press, about 700 people were evacuated and placed in temporary accommodation. The death toll has reached 128 people.
