The Central Bank will expand the tariff corridor for CTP

Starting from December 9, 2025, the CTP tariff corridor will be expanded by 15% in both directions for all types of transport. The exception is motorcycles — for them, the boundaries are shifted by 40%, according to the regulator's instructions.

For ordinary car owners who use cars for personal purposes, the tariff corridor has not changed for more than 3 years, starting in September 2022, the Central Bank noted. During this period, the average CTP payment increased by one and a half times. In the past 9 months of 2025 alone, it has increased by 16% compared to last year. At the same time, the average cost of CTP for the same period, on the contrary, decreased by 4%.

The Central Bank's instruction will also change the values of the territorial coefficient (CT). It decreases for 20 territories and increases for 28. The strongest increase in CT, twofold, is provided for five territories of the Novosibirsk region and three territories of the Republic of Ingushetia. These two entities have maintained a high level of risks of unfair actions in CTP for 5 years.

On November 23, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation warned that fraudsters were embezzling money by selling invalid CTP policies to car owners. According to the scheme, the agent draws up a form, accepts money from the client, but does not transfer it to the company. When an insured event occurs, it turns out that the policy is invalid, and the car owner has to sue the insurance company.
