The Krasnoyarsk Territory will expand benefits for its participants. Thanks to the amendments to the laws, it will become easier to get a land plot and buy wood.

Parliamentarians of the regional legislative assembly at a meeting of the Committee on Natural Resources and Ecology in the second reading considered two bills extending measures to support this category of the population.

KrasnoyarskMedia news agency clarifies that state and municipal land plots have been allocated to combat veterans who have been awarded the title of Hero of Russia or awarded orders since the spring of 2024. However, in order to obtain land, it is necessary to use a passport to confirm the fact of residence in the region. In some cases, veterans do not have registration at their place of residence.

The prosecutor's office suggested that the legislative assembly approve a list of other documents that would replace the passport in this case. For example, a work record, a certificate of registration at the place of residence, a military registration document, information from an employer or the tax service. The head of the Committee on Natural Resources and Ecology, Vitaly Drozdov, noted that such measures should simplify the procedure for obtaining a land plot.

The second draft law "On logging on the basis of contracts for the purchase and sale of forest plantations" provides for the expansion of benefits for logging. So, starting in 2023, the participants of the SVO have the opportunity to buy wood for the construction of houses and heating at a price that is 10 times lower. Until recently, the benefits were valid for residential housing plots. Now they will apply to the construction and arrangement of garden plots.

Both documents are scheduled to be considered at the next session of the Legislative Assembly.

In mid-November, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Andrei Belousov, instructed to develop a rating of the country's regions in terms of the number and quality of support measures for participants in a special military operation. According to Belousov, the tasks of simplifying and speeding up the process of obtaining social support for SVO fighters cannot be completed without the active participation of the subjects of the Russian Federation, since it is there that benefits are implemented.
