- The Victory Tree will be held for the first time in the new large-scale exhibition of the Victory Museum
On December 20, the Victory Museum will host the traditional interactive game "Victory Tree". This year, for the first time, the program will be held in a new large-scale exhibition "The Path to Victory".
"The Path to Victory Museum space is a large–scale and emotional journey through the heroic pages of the Great Patriotic War. Located in the main building of the museum on Poklonnaya Gora on an area of almost 4,500 square meters. The exposition recreates in detail the key events of 1941-1945. Authentic exhibits, multimedia technologies and impressive dioramas help guests immerse themselves in the events of the past," said Maria Gumenyuk, head of the Victory Tree project.
The New Year's program of the Victory Museum not only creates a festive mood among children, but also educates and enlightens the young residents of our country. Through the mechanics of the quest, personal involvement and emotions, children imperceptibly learn the most important meanings.
"The guys are not just listening to a lecture about the war, but they understand from their own experience, albeit in a game, what duty, wit, mutual assistance and feat are. As they go through the tasks, they come into contact with the history of their family and country, which gives them not an abstract, but a deeply personal sense of pride in the generation of heroic ancestors who gave them a peaceful life. This is the most effective way of patriotic education — through respect, personal involvement and living memory," Maria Gumenyuk emphasized.
"Victory Tree" is a combination of a deep study of the historical theme of the quest plot and a vivid game format, which distinguishes it from purely entertaining performances. Every year, the Victory Museum creates a completely new story and develops original tasks, which makes the program unique and does not allow it to become outdated, and the highest professionalism of the museum team guarantees the quality of immersion and the accuracy of the details.
"About 10,000 children from all over Russia take part in the New Year's program of the Victory Museum every year. Many families who have visited the Victory Tree once become devoted fans of it and return year after year, turning it into their New Year's tradition, because each time they face a completely new story and new tasks, which preserves a sense of novelty and anticipation," said Maria Gumenyuk.
This year, according to the plot, the Snow Maiden finds herself in trouble - she accidentally falls into the trap of an old military film. The boys and girls will have to go back in time and help her come back. The boys will find a difficult but fascinating journey through time, from the harsh days of December 1941 to the victorious May 1945. To successfully pass this test and return the Snow Maiden, the children will have to show the qualities that helped our people win: courage, honesty, justice, kindness, reliability and loyalty. The young participants of the program, like real researchers, will restore the archival film frame by frame. During the game, they will meet the brave heroes of the past, overcome many obstacles and enemy traps. And at the very end, Victory Tree lights and gifts from the museum are waiting for them.
