A ten-year-old boy who picked up an unidentified improvised explosive device (IED) in Krasnogorsk on November 11 and lost his fingers was discharged from the hospital on Friday, November 28, and sent home.

The child and his mother were accompanied to the discharge by doctors from the L. M. Roshal Children's Research and Clinical Center, where he was undergoing treatment.

"We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us during this time, who sent us videos, came personally, conveyed greetings and wishes for further recovery and recovery of the child. It was very pleasant," said the victim's mother.

She expressed gratitude to the doctors and medical staff of the hospital for their participation and assistance during this difficult period.

The coach of a sports club in Krasnogorsk, Vladimir Sharupich, told Izvestia on November 12 that the boy was injured after he decided to pick up a banknote from the ground. According to the man, the child bent down to pick up the money, after which an explosion occurred. As a result, the teenager suffered a serious hand injury, and his fingers were partially amputated.

Later it became known about the initiation of a criminal case on attempted murder. According to an eyewitness of the incident, the explosive device was a bundle of ten-ruble bills wrapped in a tube and tied with a red gift ribbon.

On November 13, it was reported that the condition of the boy injured in the explosion in Krasnogorsk remains stable.
