A military expert spoke about the frightening fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Honored military pilot, retired Major General Vladimir Popov said that American F-16 and French Mirage fighters are afraid to fly into the range of Russian fighters.
In conversation with aif.ru On Thursday, November 27, he said that recently there had been no major clashes between fighter jets and attacks on enemy air targets in the special military operation zone. According to him, the expression "pinned to the ground" may mean that enemy aircraft have actually returned to their airfields and are trying not to enter the area of operations. He added that the enemy has not appeared in the sights for a long time, is not detected by Russian systems and probably avoids flights in the area where the Su-30SM and Su-35S operate.
On November 26, Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov said that the Russian Su-35S multirole fighter had actually "pinned down" the F-16 and Mirage. According to him, the Su-35S pinned enemy aircraft to the ground, forcing them to fly at extremely low altitudes in their own rear.
He noted that Russian aircraft often hit targets at ranges of hundreds of kilometers. According to him, the Su-35S regularly strikes anti-aircraft complexes of the Ukrainian armed forces in the CBO zone. Chemezov added that it is important for Rostec that Russian pilots highly appreciate the characteristics of this combat vehicle. kp.ru .
