Jakarta has overtaken Tokyo in the ranking of the most densely populated cities in the world

The capital of Indonesia, Jakarta, is recognized as the most populous city in the world, with 42 million people living there. This was reported on November 27 by The Guardian newspaper, citing a report by the United Nations Office of Economic and Social Affairs (UN).

Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is in second place on the list with 37 million inhabitants, while Tokyo is in third place with 33 million people.
