A new road will be built in the north of Moscow along the MCD-3
In the north of Moscow, a new road will appear along MCD-3, which will connect Marshal Fedorenko and Verkhnelikhoborskaya Streets, pass through the entire Zapadnoye Degunino district and provide additional connections to Golovinsky and Khovrino. This was announced by the Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
"The way to the nearest metro stations and MCD-3 will become shorter and more comfortable," the mayor emphasized.
The project provides for the construction of projected passage No. 4389 from Marshal Fedorenko to Bazovskaya Street, projected passage No. 1123 from the interchange at the intersection with Festivalnaya Street to Ivan Susanin Street, as well as several sections of projected passage No. 980 — from the future exit on Ilmensky Passage to Pyalovskaya Street, from Pilot Oskanov Street to the projected exit on Ilmensky Passage and from the same passage to Ilmenskoye. Additionally, the section of the projected passage No. 4389 from Bazovskaya Street to the interchange at the intersection with Festivalnaya will be reconstructed.
Two or three lanes of traffic in each direction are planned on the new streets. They will also modernize the road infrastructure at the Verkhniye Likhobory metro station, and a terminal building for urban land transport will be erected next to the Grachevskaya MCD-3 station and new routes will be organized. According to calculations, the new road will reduce the mileage to three kilometers and reduce the travel time by about 14 minutes, which will reduce the load on Dmitrovskoye and Korovinskoye highways.
