China has expressed concern about the US-developed Golden Dome missile defense system
The global missile defense system "Golden Dome", which was developed by the United States, is a threat to security in outer space. This is stated on November 27 in the White Paper of the Press Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
The White Paper, titled "China's Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-Proliferation in the New Era," states that some countries are promoting the Golden Dome global missile defense system and seeking to deploy weapons in outer space, which poses a threat to security in outer space.
"China strongly opposes this and calls on these individual countries to stop developing and deploying global missile defense systems and to stop the advanced deployment of missiles and other offensive weapons," the document says.
On November 4, Bloomberg reported, citing information from the American space forces, that the United States was close to deploying two new types of weapons designed to jam Russian and Chinese satellites. It was specified that the new weapons would be deployed worldwide. They can be controlled remotely.
Earlier, on September 17, General of the Space Forces Michael Guetlein, who heads the process of creating the Golden Dome air and space missile defense system in the United States, announced the completion of the project. In May, Trump declared that the "Golden Dome" is necessary for the United States to survive. According to Trump, the country's administration plans to allocate about $175 billion for it.
