Rostec pointed to the high losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Russian drones

Russian military personnel using drones developed by Rostec Corporation have already destroyed thousands of enemy targets during a special military operation. This was reported to RIA Novosti on November 27 by the state corporation.

"With the help of our drones, Russian troops have scouted and destroyed thousands of enemy targets, including those critical to its combat capability," the agency's source said.

Rostec has developed and is mass-producing a number of unmanned systems of various sizes and purposes. About ten types of reconnaissance and attack drones are actively used in the SVO zone. Among them are the KUB barrage ammunition, the SKAT 350M drones, as well as the Granat-4 aerial reconnaissance and targeting drones of the Kalashnikov concern.

The state corporation also noted the 400T UAV drone, equipped with a thermal imaging channel for reconnaissance and determining the coordinates of targets in any conditions.

"There are also unique solutions, such as interceptor drones from our Shvabe holding company. These devices can effectively destroy mini-drones," Rostec added.

A unit of the Dnepr group of forces has hit more than 20 units of enemy military equipment in a month.

Earlier, on November 14, the BI portal reported that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation began using drones controlled by fiber-optic cables with a range of up to 50 km, which disrupted Ukrainian logistics.

Prior to that, on September 14, The New York Times reported that Russia had made the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) a top priority and had revolutionized this field. The publication also noted that the sharp increase in the production of UAVs, combined with new technologies and tactics, creates enormous difficulties for Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 12 that thanks to drone operators, up to half of the Armed Forces' equipment is affected. The Russian army has accumulated good experience in the field of drones, and the effectiveness of their use is constantly growing, he added.
