The cost of travel in Moscow's public transport will change from January 2, according to the Department of Transport of the capital. Prices will be adjusted to compensate for the rising cost of electricity, fuel, and inflation. At the same time, the indexation has remained below inflation since 2011, the department stressed.

Biometrics will remain the most profitable way to pay for travel. The cost of the trip will be 71 rubles— which is 12 rubles cheaper than when paying with a bank card. Travel on United tickets for 30, 90 and 365 days will change by an average of 3.5 rubles.

Passengers will continue to have access to free transfers between the metro, the MCC and the MCC. Also, if you link a Troika card in your personal account of the Moscow Metro or Moscow Transport application, you will not need to pay for transfers from a route to a ground transport route.

The fare for regular river electric transport will also change. During the "summer fare" period — from May 1 to September 30 — one trip will cost 380 rubles when paying with a bank card or through the SBP. on weekdays and 550 rubles on weekends. 330 and 500 rubles will be charged for the trip using the Wallet ticket, and 230 and 400 rubles for biometrics. During the "winter fare" period — from October 1 to April 30 — the fare will not change on weekdays, and on weekends, when paying with a bank card or SBP, it will amount to 170 rubles, with a Wallet ticket or using biometrics — 145 rubles.

Trips on regular river electric transport on United tickets for 30, 90 and 365 days are still included in the price all year round.

In addition, fares on adjacent metropolitan bus routes of the Moscow—Region project connecting the capital and the Moscow Region will be indexed. The changes will affect both fixed-cost and zone-based routes. All current benefits and travel tickets, which allow you to significantly save on regular trips, will remain.

"All funds from the fare are directed to the further development of transport, so that passengers' trips become even safer and more comfortable," the Department of Transport emphasized.
