The Russian ambassador called on Moldova to stop diplomatic demarches
Moldova should stop diplomatic demarches and return to constructive dialogue with Russia. This was stated on November 26 by Russian Ambassador Oleg Ozerov after visiting the Moldovan Foreign Ministry on the incident with the drone (UAV).
On November 25, the Moldovan police announced in their Telegram channel the discovery of a UAV on the roof of a house in the village of Nizhni Kuguresti, Floresti district. The drone allegedly fell on the building. Later, the model was identified as "Gerbera", it was displayed in front of the building of the Moldovan Foreign Ministry. Ozerov was also summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.
"We suggest not to rush to conclusions, including the media, to be attentive to the comments of technical specialists, and if we take it globally, then, of course, it is necessary to build a constructive normal dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation, or rather, to restore it, because it took place before," he said.
Ozerov also called on the Moldovan authorities to get out of the "vicious circle" and stop protesting immediately after the events, without understanding their details. The diplomat added that many operations under a false flag are currently underway, which are aimed at worsening relations between Russia and Moldova.
Answering questions about the drone, Ozerov confirmed that it was a Gerber model drone, but stressed that the UAV could not fly from the Kharkiv region to the Floresti district due to the low maximum range.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Lyubinsky said on November 11 that Russia had offered the European Union (EU) to hold consultations on incidents involving drones that allegedly violated the airspace of the Union countries, but received only unfriendly steps in response. Moreover, according to him, Moscow has only strengthened its opinion that the UAV incidents are a planned provocation.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on October 6 that many European politicians often falsely accuse Russia of "really strange" incidents involving alleged UAVs over their countries.
