A truck with parts of the Geran-2 UAV was detained at the entrance to Romania

Romanian border guards found elements of the downed Geran-2 drone and contraband weapons in a truck traveling from Chisinau. This was announced on November 26 by the Prosecutor General's Office of Moldova.

"The ammunition was imported <...> smuggling with the help of a carrier who periodically plied a truck from Ukraine," the agency said in a Facebook post (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

Ammunition was delivered to the country in several flights, two units per trip. They were received from an unidentified warehouse in Ukraine from unknown persons and imported into Moldova, disguised for transfer to accomplices.

A criminal case has been initiated based on the results of the customs inspection. Three suspected smugglers were placed under arrest for 30 days.
