The fighters of the Vostok group told about the liberation of the Calm in the Zaporozhye region

Soldiers of the assault units of the 114th Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 127th Division of the 5th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces told the details of the liberation of the settlement of Zatishye in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on November 26 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"Before the Lull, the forest belts were cleared — the enemy has a lot of FPV drones, this is the biggest difficulty. As we move, they're already working on us, so we have to speed up. Despite the resistance, they acted quickly and smoothly: they took the dugout from them, cleaned it up as they had been taught, and immediately moved on," said the stormtrooper with the call sign Fighter.

It is noted that in the area of the village, the enemy created a deeply layered defense system: fortifications included anti-tank ditches, tetrahedra and equipped firing points. However, the coordinated actions of the Russian fighters made it possible to break through the line of defense and establish full control over the settlement.

During the fighting, the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered significant losses: more than 20 units of military equipment, as well as a significant number of personnel.

"The task of our unit was to take an enemy stronghold on one of the streets, as well as gain a foothold on it and install a communications amplifier," recalls the squad commander with the call sign of the Forces.

It is noted that the liberation of the Calm was an important step towards the advance of the Russian Army to the village of Gulyai-Pole.

"During the liberation of the Calm, our group provided evacuation of the wounded and first aid. While we were advancing on the task, twelve FPV drones hit us — we had to go into landings and trenches, maneuver, look for shelter," said a sanitary instructor with the call sign Frol.
