The State Duma proposed to announce a partial amnesty for women on Mother's Day.
On November 25, State Duma deputy Tatyana Butskaya proposed declaring a partial amnesty for women on Mother's Day.
"The amnesty that is being offered is, of course, something amazing. The only thing is, it seems to me that you have touched on all categories, but I would add about single mothers," TASS quoted her as saying.
According to Butskaya, the bill provides for the exemption from punishment of women with minor children, pregnant women, as well as women over 55 years of age. The initiative applies to persons who have committed minor and moderate crimes. The document has already been submitted to the State Duma and will be reviewed in due course.
