In Krasnoyarsk, a verdict was passed against the driver of a garbage truck, who was found guilty of committing a fatal accident. A man ran over two people.

The traffic incident occurred in March at the intersection of Lvovskaya and Kishinevskaya streets. According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, the defendant knocked down a ten-year-old child and his 34-year-old mother, who were crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing. The minor died on the spot. The woman died in the hospital.

The driver explained that the pedestrians were allegedly in a "blind spot." The court sentenced the man to 3.5 years in prison to serve his sentence in a penal colony.
