- The poll predicted the victory of the right-wing leader Bardella in the French presidential election
The level of public support for Jordan Bardella, chairman of the National Unification Party (RN), is so high that it can bring him victory in the presidential election, no matter who his opponent is. This was reported on November 25 by the Reuters news agency, citing a survey by the French Odoxa institute.
"The current leader of the far-right party and heir to long-time leader Marine Le Pen would have won more votes than anyone else if the presidential election had been held this week. This was revealed during a survey of 1,000 people on November 19 and 20," Odoxa said in a statement.
According to the survey results, Bardella would have received about 35% in the first round and beat all other candidates in the second round. The Institute notes that for supporters of the far-right party, leading the polls before the election does not guarantee victory, as their opponents often form broad political alliances.
Earlier, on November 22, a survey showed that the proportion of French people who express an extremely negative opinion of French President Emmanuel Macron reached a record 56%. The percentage of French people satisfied with Macron's work dropped to a historic low of 16%, while the total share of those dissatisfied with him was 84%.
Survey data from the sociological company Verian Group, published on October 30, indicated that the trust rating of French President Emmanuel Macron had dropped to 11%. It was noted that the survey was conducted from October 26 to October 28 among 1,000 adult French citizens.
