Sechin called the economic effect for China from the supply of Russian oil
Since 2022, the economic effect for China from the supply of Russian oil has already amounted to about $ 20 billion dollars. This was stated by Igor Sechin, Executive Secretary of the Presidential Commission for the Development Strategy of the Fuel and Energy Complex, Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft, speaking at the opening of the VII Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum (RCEBF) in Beijing.
"Due to the higher efficiency of Russian oil purchases compared to the Middle Eastern alternative, the cumulative economic effect for China starting in 2022 is, according to our estimates, about $ 20 billion," the head of Rosneft emphasized.
Sechin also noted the importance of Russian energy supplies for China to achieve its strategic goals. Over the past 10 years, the Russian businessman noted, due to the timely reorientation to the East, Russia has become the number one supplier of oil to China with a share of about 20%.
