Sechin pointed out the uniqueness of Russia's resource base

Russia's natural resources are collectively estimated at $100 trillion, which is almost twice as much as the United States. Igor Sechin, Executive Secretary of the Presidential Commission for the Development Strategy of the Fuel and Energy Complex, Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft, said this at the opening of the VII Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum (RCEBF) in Beijing.

"Russia, with its unique resource base, can guarantee the energy security of the whole of Eurasia. The total value of our country's natural resources is almost $100 trillion, which is almost twice as much as in the United States," Sechin said.

He noted that Russia is a key player in the global energy market with a share of about 15% in global hydrocarbon exports.

"Our cooperation here is in full accordance with the statement formulated by Chinese President Xi Jinping: "Security is a prerequisite for development, and development is a guarantee of security," Sechin said.
