The United States and Ukraine have developed a new peace agreement and reduced US President Donald Trump's plan from 28 points to 19. The Financial Times writes about this on November 24 with reference to the statement of the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergey Kislitsa.

Kyslytsa, who was present as part of the Ukrainian delegation at the Geneva talks, said the meeting was "tense but productive."

According to him, the result of the meeting was a carefully revised draft document, which aroused "positive" feelings on both sides.

"After several hours of painstaking negotiations, which almost broke down before they even began, representatives of the United States and Ukraine reached agreements on several issues, but bracketed the most controversial points <...> so that Donald Trump and [the president of Ukraine] Vladimir Zelensky could have solved them," the article says.

According to Kislitsa, the new plan bears little resemblance to an earlier version of the peace proposal.

"There is very little left of the original version. <...> We have developed a solid set of measures to bring our positions closer, and we are ready to compromise on several issues. The rest will require management decisions," he said.

On November 19, NBC News announced a new plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, which includes 28 points. Among them are the reduction of the size of the Ukrainian army and the volume of military assistance to Kiev, the granting of the state status to the Russian language, as well as the recognition of Donbass and Crimea as part of Russia.

Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Moscow had received a 28-point plan from Washington, which, according to him, could be used "as the basis for a final peaceful settlement."
