Umerov announced the inclusion of most of Ukraine's priorities in the US plan.
The plan proposed by the United States for an American settlement, after making adjustments to it, is at the final stage of approval and reflects key priorities for Ukraine. This was announced on November 23 by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov after consultations in Geneva.
"The current version of the document, although it is at the final stage of approval, already reflects most of the key Ukrainian priorities," he said in his Telegram channel.
He noted that the Ukrainian authorities highly appreciate constructive cooperation with the United States and their attentive attitude to the comments of the Ukrainian delegation. Such joint work allows us to move forward, Umerov added, expressing hope for further progress in continuing negotiations on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, The Financial Times noted that the situation with the US peace plan for Ukraine, which is being discussed in Switzerland, is constantly changing and remains uncertain. After that, it was reported that the Ukrainian delegation had left the InterContinental Hotel, where the negotiations were taking place. Then the US delegation also left the venue of the meeting.
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted at the same time that Moscow had received a 28-point plan from Washington, which, according to him, could be used "as the basis for a final peaceful settlement." Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the decision-making space for Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky is shrinking. According to him, the rejection of a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and the continuation of a special military operation (SVO) are "senseless and dangerous" for Ukraine.
