Reuters has learned about a possible attempt by Washington to overthrow Maduro in the coming days.

Washington may launch a new military operation against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the coming days, as well as attempt to overthrow its president, Nicolas Maduro. This was reported on November 22 by the Reuters news agency, citing four American informed sources.

"The United States is ready to begin a new phase of operations related to Venezuela. <...> Covert operations are likely to be the first part of new actions against Maduro. <... The options under consideration include an attempt to overthrow Maduro," the article says.

One of the unnamed interlocutors of the agency clarified that US President Donald Trump is ready to use all elements of "American power" to stop the flow of drugs into his country, as well as to bring those responsible to justice.

The Washington Post (WP) newspaper reported on November 22 that the White House administration was considering the possibility of capturing Maduro, as well as establishing control over the oil fields of this state back in the middle of summer. It was clarified that these issues were raised at a time when Washington was discussing the possibility of attacking Venezuelan vessels that allegedly transported drugs.
