Police officers in the Moscow region caught a teenage driver who killed himself.

In the Moscow region, police detained a Hyundai driver who killed a teenager and fled earlier that day. This was announced on November 22 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.

"A high—profile accident occurred on Lenin Street in the city of Ozery this evening: the driver of a Hyundai car hit a minor crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing," she wrote on the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the teenager died on the spot from his injuries. The driver fled the scene of the crime, but was soon caught by officers of the Moscow region police.

It became known that he turned out to be a 39-year-old local resident, against whom a criminal case was opened under Part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles").

Yuri Yurin, head of the Regional Security Department of the Saratov Region government, said on November 22 that one person was killed and three injured in a three-car collision. It was clarified that emergency services personnel, medics and police were working at the site.
