The waters of the Pechora and Severnaya Dvina rivers were proposed to be transferred to Donbass

The project for the construction of a pipeline to transfer water from the Pechora and Severnaya Dvina rivers to Donbass will be considered on December 2 at a meeting of the Department of Earth Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). This was stated on November 22 by Viktor Danilov-Danilyan, Scientific director of the Institute of Water Problems, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"Firstly, on October 22, this was discussed at a meeting of the Scientific council "Land Water Resources" of the Russian Academy of Sciences. On December 2, I will make a corresponding report at the Department of Earth Sciences. I think it will go quite smoothly there, I am a member of this department myself, I will convince everyone that it is necessary to take this seriously. If the Department of Earth Sciences votes, so will the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences," Danilov—Danilyan said.
