Rosreestr suggested not returning apartments to pensioners until the money is refunded.

Alexey Butovetsky, deputy head of Rosreestr, said on November 21 that the ownership of pensioners' real estate would be returned only after a full refund of funds if the real estate transaction was declared invalid.

"Money is hard to find. And the apartment is here. Ownership is an entry in the registry. The bailiff just comes to Rosreestr and says: cancel the recording. It would be a fair decision that the record of the right is extinguished only when the money is transferred back," Komsomolskaya Pravda quoted Butovetsky as saying.
