UAC handed over a batch of new Su-30SM2 fighters to the Russian Defense Ministry

Rostec's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has manufactured and delivered a new batch of Su-30SM2 multi-role fighters to the Russian Defense Ministry as part of the state defense order. This was announced on November 21 by the Rostec press service.

It is noted that the Su-30SM2 deservedly occupies a leading position among modern fighters, enjoying high recognition from pilots. Its outstanding flight characteristics, exceptional maneuverability and extensive arsenal, including long-range weapons, make it a versatile and effective combat platform. The aircraft is compatible with almost all modern aviation weapons.

"Thanks to the powerful radar, the Su-30SM2 can "see" further and more accurately, which facilitates the work of the crew. And the advanced electronic warfare (EW) system, in turn, allows the fighter to effectively counter enemy aircraft weapons. Aircraft of this type have proven their effectiveness during their combat operations, with hundreds of destroyed air and ground targets, including Patriot installations," Rostec noted.

After successfully passing ground and flight tests, the aircraft equipment was sent to the duty station.

"As part of the implementation of the targets set by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation for the supply of weapons and equipment to the troops, the crew of the naval aviation of the Navy carried out the acceptance of Su-30SM2 aircraft. The Su-30SM2 super—maneuverable multirole fighters are one of the most advanced combat aircraft of the Russian Armed Forces.
