Ryabkov called the Caribbean a hotspot due to US claims to Venezuela
The Caribbean is becoming a hotspot due to the baseless claims of the United States against Venezuela. This was announced on November 20 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
On November 16, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro of leading the Los Soles drug cartel and stated that the State Department intends to recognize the group as a foreign terrorist organization. Later, US President Donald Trump announced that he could hold talks with the head of Venezuela.
The next day, Trump said he was considering all possible options for action against Venezuela, including conducting a ground military operation.
