In the Mud of the Lipetsk region, a court sentenced a driver who was accused of causing grievous bodily harm to his friend while tubing.

In February, a 25-year-old man in the parking lot at the shopping center agreed to attach tubing to his car. However, when turning, the coupling of the tubes deviated from the trajectory of movement, which caused the 29-year-old girl sitting on them to fly into a metal pole and hit her head.

The driver called an ambulance, and the girl was hospitalized. He did not inform the traffic police about the incident, as he considered that the incident was not an accident. Later, this fact was qualified as the fact that the culprit of the accident fled the scene. A criminal case was opened.

Experts considered that serious harm had been caused to the girl's health.

GOROD48, citing the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, writes that the driver was sentenced to 3 years in a penal colony and deprived of his driver's license for 2 years. The court also demanded compensation from him for moral damage and material damage in the amount exceeding 800 thousand rubles.

Earlier it was reported that in Yekaterinburg, two eight-year-old girls were injured after sliding down a slide on a tube and getting run over by a car.
