FSB officers detained an officer of the Russian Ministry of Defense who tried to poison him in the DPR

In the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) detained a local resident involved in the preparation of a terrorist act using chemical warfare agents against a high-ranking officer of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The relevant footage is published by the agency on November 20.

According to the investigation, the man contacted a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine through a Telegram channel, received explosives delivered by drones to the DPR from him, and stored them at home for sabotage. In November, he also received two packages of British-made beer from the Ukrainian secret service, which he was supposed to give to the specified officer of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation as a gift, but was caught at the time of transfer.

"A person unknown to me wrote to me, <...> i was asked to earn money. According to the coordinates I was sent, I had to pick up the parcels. It was a field. At the moment when I was approaching the point, a quadcopter flew up, dropped two tubes to me at a low altitude, and a message came that I had to pick it up and hide it at home. On the second parcel, he moved into place in the same way. They wrote to me to take these parcels home in the same way. <...> There was something poisonous in there. Two days later, a man wrote to me, "you just need to give it to another person," the arrested man said.

A high-ranking officer of the Russian Defense Ministry, who was subjected to an attempted murder, said that a few months ago he met a girl on a dating site. After some time, she expressed a desire to give the officer a gift, which she would give through an acquaintance - the poisoned alcohol, as it turned out later. Under the girl's account, respectively, employees of the Ukrainian special services were hiding.

According to the results of studies of the seized bottles, it was found that the beer contained a mixture of highly toxic toxic substances "colchicine" and "tretbutylbicyclophosphate" (an analogue of the nerve agent "VX", prohibited by the Chemical Weapons Convention 1993) of British production, which, when consumed, causes painful death within 20 minutes.

FSB officers warned about a new scheme of work of the Ukrainian special services, in which they create fake accounts, mainly in the Telegram channel. For realism, photos and videos generated by artificial intelligence are added. Through accounts, they incite the civilian population to various terrorist activities.

It was clarified that the accused, on the instructions of Ukrainian curators, extracted components for the manufacture of improvised explosive devices from caches. He also carried out surveillance on a high-ranking official of the regional government and planned to commit a terrorist attack.
