US President Donald Trump, speaking at the US-Saudi Arabia investment forum on November 19, said he was ready to impose duties of 350% against New Delhi and Islamabad in order to resolve the India-Pakistan conflict.

"India and Pakistan were going to go at each other with nuclear weapons. And I said, "Okay, you can go, but I'm imposing 350% duties on every country," the American leader said.

According to the head of the White House, these sanctions implied the absence of any trade with the United States, so the conflicting parties agreed to resolve the situation between them.

On October 22, Trump was awarded the Architect of Peace Award, established in 1995 by the Richard Nixon Foundation, the 37th President of the United States, for resolving the conflict between India and Pakistan. The statuette was presented to him by Robert O'Brien, chairman of the foundation's board of directors and former national security adviser, and the ceremony took place in the presence of Nixon's relatives.
