Mozhaisk City Court of the Moscow Region sentenced Vasily Boyko-Veliky, head of the Russian Milk agricultural holding, to 15 years and 6 months in prison and a fine of 500,000 rubles in the criminal community case. On November 19, a correspondent of Izvestia reported this from the courtroom.

Prior to that, during the debate between the parties, the prosecutor requested 19 years in prison for Boyko-Veliky. Other defendants in the case were sentenced to terms ranging from 10 to 15 years.

According to investigators, in 2003, the businessman organized a criminal community that began buying up land in the Ruzsky district. Under the guise of agricultural development, Boyko the Great and his accomplices re-registered the land shares owned by controlled organizations.

These plots were then split up into smaller ones and resold. Thus, in the period from 2003 to 2011, the entrepreneur and his accomplices illegally appropriated 2 thousand hectares of land, the damage from its privatization amounted to 348 million rubles.

Earlier, on November 7, businessman and crime boss Robson (real name Ruben Tatulyan), who has been wanted in Russia since November 2023 for multibillion—dollar embezzlement in the field of land use, was detained in Armenia, after which he was released. In addition, in 1998, Tatulyan created a criminal community that engaged in extortion, embezzlement and physical elimination of individuals. The community was responsible for high-profile crimes, including threats of physical violence and contract murder. Later it was reported that Armenia refused to extradite the businessman to Russia.
