Law enforcement officers in the Leningrad region have detained the former and current deputy heads of the Tosnensky district administration on suspicion of land fraud. This was announced on November 19 by the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) in the Leningrad region.
"On suspicion of committing a crime, the former and current deputy heads of the administration of the Tosnensky Municipal District of the Leningrad Region were detained," the department's Telegram channel said.
It is specified that the defendants carried out land surveying in the Shapkinsky rural settlement. These lands were intended to be provided free of charge to certain categories of citizens for construction. Subsequently, the lands were sold to individuals who had no right to them. As a result of fraudulent actions, the suspects caused damage in the amount of at least 10 million rubles.
It is noted that they will be charged in the near future. Currently, petitions have been filed for the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention.
Searches were conducted in the administration of the Tosnensky municipal district of the Leningrad region, as well as in the places of residence of the intruders. The investigation establishes all the circumstances of the incident and other episodes of criminal activity of the suspects.
Earlier, on November 18, the former deputy head of St. Petersburg, Vladimir Lavlentsev, was charged with embezzlement and part of 53 billion rubles that were allocated from the budget under the contract for the construction of the M-12 Moscow — Nizhny Novgorod—Kazan highway (the Vostok highway). It was clarified that about 2.5 billion rubles of this amount was stolen through fictitious loan agreements.
