Egypt and the Russian corporation Rosatom have signed an agreement on the purchase of nuclear fuel for the El-Dabaa nuclear power plant. This was announced on November 19 by the office of Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli.

"Prime Minister Mustafa Madbuli was present this morning at the signing of the agreement on the purchase of nuclear fuel for the Al-Dabaa nuclear power plant," RIA Novosti reported.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 19 that the construction of the El-Dabaa nuclear power plant in Egypt with the participation of Russia is progressing successfully. He noted that the commissioning of the El-Dabaa NPP will strengthen Egypt's energy security. The Russian leader also added that the Russian Federation will continue to provide assistance to Egyptian partners at all stages of work on the construction of nuclear power plants.
