The West pointed out the importance of negotiations with the Russian Federation for the fate of Ukraine

Ukraine can survive if it agrees to start peace talks with Russia. This was announced on November 14 by Nikolai Petro, a professor of political science at the University of Rhode Island.

"As long as Russia is still ready for negotiations, there remains a chance...> survive," he said on the YouTube channel of political scientist Glen Deesen.

According to Petro, many Ukrainian analysts are urging Kiev to start negotiations in order to achieve the most beneficial agreement. At the same time, the professor noted that the Ukrainian side should "at the first opportunity" try to negotiate a peaceful settlement, since the only alternative is surrender.
