Spain has decided to allocate €817 million in aid to Ukraine. This was announced on November 18 by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
Earlier in the day, protests were held in Madrid by residents of the city in connection with the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Spain. The protesters chanted "Zelensky is a fascist! Get out of Madrid!", "Don't dirty Guernica!" (Pablo Picasso's painting about the war. — Ed.) and "NATO — no! Bases— get out!" The protesters also demanded that Europe end its military support for Ukraine.
