A court in Moscow fined Telegram 3.8 million rubles.
The Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined the Telegram messenger 3.8 million rubles in a case of violation of the law on the procedure for restricting access to information. This was reported on November 18 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
It is clarified that the messenger was fined under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code. The reason for this was the failure to delete information discrediting the actions of the state and the armed forces of the Russian Federation. The maximum penalty under this article is 4 million rubles.
Earlier, on October 3, a Moscow court fined Telegram 7 million rubles for failing to fulfill its obligation to monitor the social network and take measures to restrict access to information.
