Six people were detained in Dagestan for preparing an attack on police officers.

During the investigation of a criminal case on the creation of a terrorist community and the preparation of an attack on the life of law enforcement officers, six suspects were detained. This was reported on November 17 in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

"According to the investigation, no later than July 2025, six residents of the republic, while in the territory of the city of Makhachkala, created a terrorist community to carry out terrorist activities in the region. <...> Conspired to commit an attack on the lives of law enforcement officers by attacking police officers," the report says.

As part of the investigation, the necessary investigative actions are continuing to establish all the circumstances and possible accomplices.

Earlier, on November 11, Irina Rusnak, the official representative of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Omsk Region, announced that the second Eastern District Military Court in Novosibirsk had sentenced a 19-year-old Omsk resident to eight and a half years in a penal colony in a case of treason and calls to terrorism. The investigation found that the accused administered several Ukrainian Telegram channels that distributed materials promoting terrorist activities, as well as calls for violence against Russian citizens. In addition, he was involved in collecting funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and also personally transferred money to the accounts of members of Ukrainian terrorist organizations.
