There are products that help the natural process of removing toxins from the body and have a positive effect on health. Irina Lyalina, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the State University of Education, told about this on Monday, November 17.

The biologist noted that greens and vegetables are the record holders for cleansing the body of toxins. Among vegetables, beetroot is of particular value, the enzymes of which are involved in improving the hematopoiesis process. Cruciferous foods also have a good effect on the liver — they stimulate the production of enzymes involved in cleansing this organ.

According to Lyalina, garlic, thanks to its sulfur, supports the normal function of the liver and the immune system.

The biologist added that other organs are favorably affected by apples, cranberries, blueberries, raspberries and lemon, which contain pectin, which helps to remove toxins from the intestines.

"Ginger improves blood circulation and digestion, and green tea contains catechins that protect the liver from the oxidative process. However, it should be borne in mind that in order to maintain a "high—quality" blood composition and effectively eliminate toxins from the body, it is extremely important to ensure sufficient intake of clean water," Lyalina emphasized in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

In turn, Leo Bokeria, an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), a cardiac surgeon, warned that the liver suffers the most from alcohol.

On November 13, nutritionist Yulia Popova warned that purchased yogurts could negatively affect health due to the high content of additives. The expert clarified that the danger of the product lies in the high content of sugar and artificial flavors. 360.ru .

Earlier, on November 12, Science Daily magazine reported, citing scientists from the Keck Medicine Center at the University of Southern California, that the chemical tetrachloroethylene, widely used in dry cleaning and found in household products such as adhesives, stain removers and metal polishes, can triple the risk of significant liver fibrosis.
