Forecaster predicted cold and windy weather this week in Moscow

A week of changeable weather awaits Moscow. Monday will remain frosty, at least in the first half, after which the temperature will move towards positive values. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on November 17.

On Monday, the maximum temperature in the capital is expected to reach +2...+4 degrees.

On Tuesday, the region will be in the warm sector of the cyclone, the center of which will be located over the Yaroslavl region. Rain is expected at night and during the day, which will bring significant amounts of precipitation.

"The minimum temperature will remain positive throughout the day, from +2...+4 degrees, and the daytime temperature will be +7 ...+9 degrees. However, Tuesday will be quite windy, with gusts up to 12-17 m per second, which will prevent the warming from being fully felt," the forecaster noted.

No significant precipitation is forecast for Wednesday and Thursday. The weather will be cloudy with some clearings, and the nights will become cooler. On Wednesday night, the temperature will drop to -1...+1 degrees, and on Thursday — to -1...-3 degrees. The daytime temperature will remain positive, within plus +1...+3 degrees.

By the end of the week, on Friday and Saturday, the weather will be determined by the next warm atmospheric front from the Baltic, which will bring another batch of light precipitation. The prevailing temperature at night will be -3...+2 degrees, and during the day — 0...-3 degrees.

Earlier, on November 16, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, said that a thaw was expected in Moscow and the Moscow Region at the end of the week. The weather forecaster also warned of heavy ice on the roads, sometimes 1-2 cm thick. In the afternoon, according to him, the weather will clear up and the temperature will rise to 0 ... +3 degrees.
