- The principles of a value–based economy were discussed at the Russian Creative Week - Siberia
More than 1,500 people participated in the business program of the anniversary forum "Russian Creative Week — Siberia", which was held from November 12 to 14 in Krasnoyarsk. His festival program was attended by more than 3,000 Krasnoyarsk residents and guests of the city. 128 federal and regional experts took part in the business program offline and online.
For the fifth year in a row, Krasnoyarsk gathers representatives of the creative industries, business, education and government to discuss the future of Russia's creative economy and the role of regions in its development. The theme of the anniversary forum calls the Krasnoyarsk Territory "the visionary Siberian region and the creative axis of the country."
"They have always been able to combine tradition and innovation, diligence and striving for new things. This is the special energy of Siberia, its ability not only to generate ideas, but also to translate them into concrete projects that benefit people and the country. I am confident that the new ideas and projects presented at the forum will find practical implementation not only in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, but also in other regions of Russia," Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, emphasized in his address to the forum participants, noting that Russia is currently building a value—based economy where "culture, technology and traditions are becoming a source of competitive advantage."
According to Sergey Novikov, head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Public Projects, it is the value-based economy that creates the atmosphere in society. "When we just extract cubic meters of wood, coal, gas, barrels of oil, there is no semantic label on them. Yes, this is the basis of economic development, but people do not feel the immediate effect in the atmosphere from these successes. And all creative industries are just meaning—forming industries. That is why we are talking about the need to translate traditional moral and spiritual values and strive to unite our society based on them. We come to a big meaning from small theses," Sergey Novikov said at the main plenary session of the forum.
Over the five years of the development of creative industries in Krasnoyarsk, their share in the regional GRP has reached 4.03%. The Krasnoyarsk Territory has not ceased to be an industrial region, but the development of the creative economy does not mean abandoning other industries. With proper process organization, creative components can be easily integrated into other industries. An example of this is industrial design. The Siberian Institute for the Development of Creative Industries and the Institute of Industrial Design are actively working on its integration into the production processes of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. According to Governor Mikhail Kotyukov, it is important not only to create technical products, but also to be able to present them beautifully, and these are no less creative solutions.
"Being in Siberia, it is impossible to ignore the rise of creative energy. The first teams that started here five years ago are becoming known at the federal level. The Creative Region Award, which we received, is an assessment of the entire range of measures to support creative industries: infrastructure that allows them to grow, benefits that are demanding of recipients, and educational programs that work on the principle of "Do it yourself — tell another". And today it is especially important for us to understand whose values come to life through the economy — so that Russian values, through products, determine life in the country and our work in the foreign market," Mikhail Kotyukov emphasized.
Marina Mongush, President of ANO Creative Economy, noted that today an integrated approach to the production of the region is being tested in the Krasnoyarsk Territory: "Through the prism of creative industries, it is important to look at all layers of this process: traditional values, managerial skills, social and economic layers. We are exploring new scenarios of life. This year, there was a lot of talk about spatial development: the creative economy does not exist separately from the environment, it should be located in the space of cities. At the forum in Krasnoyarsk, my partners and I conducted an intensive educational urban development event for mayors and heads of municipalities for the first time, and I am glad that the team of my small homeland Krasnoyarsk-45 was also here."
The multi—format events of the Russian Creative Week Siberia covered all key areas of the creative industries. Copyright protection and monetization tools have become the objects of study on an open educational track in partnership with the Russian Center for the Turnover of Rights to the Results of Creative Activity "Intellectual Property: the basis of the innovative and creative economy". The result of the Siberian stage of the Creative Generation contest was the presentation of AI projects on the theme "The Krasnoyarsk Territory of the future is ...", which the participants of the two-day hackathon developed with the help of neural networks and top industry experts.
The most important topics on the forum's agenda were discussed during the plenary session "Visionary Region and New Management approaches". Any product of the creative industry is important for its value content: cinema is not just entertainment, music is not just sounds, gastronomy is not just food. And the task of any manager is to understand exactly what values to broadcast and how this will affect the identity of the region and the social cohesion of the population.
