- The Federation Council noted Russia's leadership in the development of modern weapons
Russia has outperformed its competitors in the development of modern weapons. This was stated on November 15 in an interview with Izvestia by Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council.
"Russia is an order of magnitude ahead of its competitors in the West, in the East, in the South, and anywhere else, in terms of developing the most advanced weapons, both in terms of range and accuracy," he said.
In addition, he said that Western countries are currently using Ukraine for their own interests in order to intercept technology or bribe specialists, including those who use modern weapons. Thus, Kiev fulfills orders from powerful powers that perceive Russia as a geopolitical rival. According to Kosachev, they are trying either to restrain the development of the Russian Federation, or in various ways to reach the level that Russia has provided for itself.
Check out the details in the "Final program with Peter Marchenko" on Sunday, November 16, on the REN TV channel.
Earlier, on November 11, it became known about the prevention of an attempt by Ukrainian military intelligence with the support of British intelligence agencies to hijack a Russian MiG-31 fighter jet with a Kinzhal hypersonic missile. It was clarified that the Ukrainian military intelligence service was trying to recruit Russian military pilots, offering them up to $ 3 million for an airplane flight to the territory of one of the NATO countries.
Meanwhile, on October 31, Pavel Podvig, a senior researcher at the UN Institute for Disarmament Affairs, noted the uniqueness of the Burevestnik engineering development in the world. He noted that previously such developments had not been conducted even in Russia, despite the high level of its technological potential.
