- Sobyanin announced the reconstruction of roads in Konkov and Obruchevsky district
In Moscow, over three kilometers of roads will be built and reconstructed in the Konkovo and Obruchevsky districts. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
According to him, as a result of the work, it will be more convenient for local residents, students and teachers of nearby universities to use the Peoples' Friendship University station on the Troitskaya metro line. In addition, Sobyanin wrote in the MAX messenger, "there will be an additional route between Leninsky Prospekt and Trade Union Street." As a result, "the operation of urban land transport will be adjusted, which will improve the transport accessibility of adjacent neighborhoods," the mayor stressed.
He specified that, in particular, it is planned to build a section of the Projected passage No. 4989 from Akademika Oparina Street to Obrucheva Street (Yuzhnaya Rokada). The reconstruction of the section of Obrucheva Street in the area of house No. 21 from the exit to Novatorov Street to the residential complex, as well as Miklukho-Maklay Street from Akademika Oparina Street to Akademika Volgina Street will be carried out.
According to Sobyanin, all streets will be equipped with two to four lanes of traffic in each direction and stops for ground urban transport. Two underground pedestrian crossings will also be built across the Projected Passage No. 4989 and Obrucheva Street, the mayor added.
In October, Sobyanin announced that more than 283 km of roads, 47 artificial structures and 58 pedestrian crossings are planned to be built in Moscow over the next three years. "The facilities under construction will become part of the large—scale development of the capital's transport system," the mayor stressed.
In particular, two pedestrian bridges will be built across the Moskva River, one of which — between Mnevnikovskaya floodplain and Krylatskoye — will be completed in 2027. A street and road network will also be built near the stations of the MCC "Boulevard of Rokossovsky" and "Locomotive". They will also build an overpass of the main passage at the intersection with Svobodny Prospekt and Bolshoy Kupavensky Passage.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
