Four people died in a fire in the Saratov region, including two minors. A criminal case has been opened into the deaths, the Telegram channel of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region reported on November 15.

"The investigation established that on November 15, 2025, two adults and two minors aged four and 15 died at night as a result of a fire that occurred in a private house on Vostochnaya Street in the city of Yershov. A 19-year—old boy managed to get out of the fire," the message says.

The investigators who arrived at the scene conducted an inspection of the scene and ordered a number of forensic examinations. The investigation was taken over by the head of the investigative department Dmitry Kostin.

"The Ershovsky interdistrict investigative department of the regional Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence)," the publication clarifies.

Earlier, on November 14, it was reported that in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk region, four people died from carbon monoxide poisoning. The deceased were two boys and two girls aged from 22 to 27 years.
