In Zheleznogorsk, Kursk region, four people died from carbon monoxide poisoning. This was announced on November 14 by the governor of the region, Alexander Khinstein.
"Law enforcement officers found four dead — two boys and two girls aged from 22 to 27 years. According to preliminary data, the young people were poisoned by carbon monoxide," Khinstein wrote on his Telegram channel.
The head of the region noted that emergency services were continuing to work at the scene, and also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. Information about the incident is being clarified.
"I will keep the situation under personal control," he stressed.
Earlier, on October 12, it was reported that a father and son were injured in a fire in an apartment building in the village of Maksimovshchina, Irkutsk region. Both suffered thermal burns and carbon monoxide poisoning, and were hospitalized. It was noted that gorenje burning on an area of 90 square meters was eliminated by 15 firefighters with the help of five pieces of equipment.
