Sergunina invited residents and guests of the capital to the VDNKH skating rink

On November 25, an ice rink with an area of over 20 thousand square meters will open at VDNKH. Almost 5 thousand people will be able to stay there at the same time, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

According to her, last winter the ice rink at VDNKh attracted half a million people. "Figure skaters performed there, theatrical performances, festivals and sports workshops were held," the vice mayor noted.

This year, as in the previous one, the skating paths will be located along the Main Alley, around the Friendship of Peoples and Stone Flower fountains. For the convenience of visitors, there are equipment rental and skate sharpening points, as well as storage rooms. A cafe will be located in the recreation area, and the menu will include pancakes, waffles, rolls, sbiten, and Siberian tea.

An ice arena for hockey matches is being equipped next to Pavilion No. 1 Central. There is also a children's area.

The skating rink will receive visitors from Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 to 23:00, on weekends and holidays from 10:00 to 23:00.

The program for the opening of the winter season at VDNH is scheduled for November 28 and 29. The skating rink will become a key venue — both days from 18:30 to 21:30 there will be performances by figure skaters, theatrical performances and ice shows with acrobatic numbers.
