The court sentenced Gozman, a foreign agent, to 10 years in prison in absentia.
The Second Western District Military Court found the politician Leonid Gozman guilty in absentia and sentenced him to 10 years in prison (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring), who publicly called for terrorist activities in Russia. This was reported on November 14 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
According to the press service of the Moscow Prosecutor's office, Gozman gave an interview to a foreign publication outside of Russia during a live broadcast, in which he publicly justified terrorism.
"The criminal case was considered in accordance with the general procedure of criminal proceedings in the absence of the wanted defendant. A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen in absentia against Gozman," follows from the publication of the department in the Telegram channel.
