Generation Z is indeed worse at remembering information, but this is not due to a lack of abilities, but to the peculiarities of their thinking. About this on November 14, "Gazeta.Ru" was told by Anna Polosina, a psychologist and MSPPU specialist.

According to her, zoomers have grown up in conditions of constant information flow, which has formed the habit of quickly receiving information and also quickly switching between tasks.

The expert noted that young people prefer not to store knowledge in memory if it can be found in a second. She stressed that this behavior pattern is related to the structure of the modern digital world.

"Why memorize something if you can just Google it?" That's why they (zoomers. They don't always remember everything by heart, but they quickly find the information they need," Polosina said.

She added that it is more interesting for zoomers to know "a little bit about everything," since the demand for flexible skills makes this approach more practical.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Generation Z is more susceptible to anxiety due to the digital environment, increased awareness of mental health, and the influence of social media. Psychologist Polosina noted that young people are more likely to analyze their condition and face psychological pressure due to constant online comparisons.
